The Oakville Children’s Choir under the expert direction of Sarah Morrison premiered les Trois Chansons. They are also planning on recording this, as well as touring it to Latvia this summer.
The DaCapo Chamber Choir premiered the new version of At Sunset for counter tenor and choir in Kitchener, which was originally commissioned by the Canadian Chamber Choir for the choir and mezzo soprano Christianne Rushton. The counter tenor was Andrew Pickett under the direction of Len Enns. The choir also performed this the following day in Sharon, ON.
I am really looking forward to Podium 2014 in Halifax. I have a premiere on the opening concert sung by the fantastic women’s choir Xara Choral Theatre under the direction of my very good friend Christina Murray. I am also presenting a sacred choral reading session and leading a panel on composers and composing.

The choir of St. John’s Anglican in Kitchener premiered There is no Greater Love, which was commissioned for their music director Marlin Nagtegaal in celebration of his 25 years of service to the parish.

Thanks to Beckett School faculty Marlin Nagtegaal, Peter Nikiforuk, and Alec Catherwood for performing 3 different Jeff Enns pieces in the same concert, including 2 premieres. Litanies for violin and piano, written for Alec and Marlin’s Tune, written for Marlin (obviously...)
I had a wonderful time with the Amabile Choirs and my favourite guest conductor Julia Davids as they premiered my Psalm 67, written for the massed choirs in their anniversary celebration.
The University of Alberta Madrigal Singers premiered the third of their commissioned pieces I think they laugh in Heaven under conductor Sara Brooks.

I heard from 4 different choirs in Ontario, Washington and BC that were performing Creator of the Stars of Night during their Christmas seasons, with invitations from each to attend.
Arching Starlight was performed in at least 3 provinces on Christmas Eve. There were 3 performances in Ontario, and 1 each in Manitoba and BC.
Nicole Jordan and Halifax Camerata premiered my arrangement of the Wexford Carol for Soprano, Cello, and Choir at St. Matthew’s United in Halifax.

I presented a workshop on arranging for choirs at Music Conference Alberta in Red Deer. I was also one of 3 composers involved in a symposium presented by Heather Johnson and the Cantilon Choirs of Edmonton. It was wonderful to work with such a great choir, conductor, and my very talented fellow composers Sarah Quartel and David MacIntyre.
Golden Winged, Silver Winged, and Farewell, Green fields were premiered by the University of Alberta Madrigal Singers, conducted by Len Ratzlaff. The third piece, I think they laugh in Heaven will be premiered in the spring.

Had a great tour with the Canadian Chamber Choir in BC. Many thanks to friends, old and new in and around Vancouver and Victoria for the wonderful music making and hospitality. We had my settings of Da Pacem for women's voices, She's Like The Swallow and Le Pont Mirabeau in regular rotation throughout the tour.

Heard a wonderful performance of the premiere of O She Doth Teach The Torches To Burn Bright by the Grand Philharmonic Youth Choir at the Stratford Festival. Thanks to their conductor Amanda Brunk for organizing it all. It is a great Shakespeare text from Romeo and Juliet that we got to hear in the play after hearing my choral setting.

Five premieres from the Renaissance Singers in Waterloo. Arrangements of Mairi's Wedding, The Skye Boat Song and a new setting of the Irish Blessing. They also had a celtic Band so I wrote 2 instrumental "joining" pieces - a jig and a waltz.

Had two performances of my setting of the Jubilate Deo, which was commissioned by the Saskatoon Chamber Singers. Thanks to conductor James Hawn for programming it in Saskatoon and in Rosthern on the same weekend!
